Going back to the two sides, there are two legends about Bhangarh Fort that still exist today. They have tried to explain the strange feeling that surrounds the haunted fort. We should read more about the ghost at Bhangarh Fort:
But fate had other plans. One of Madho Singh’s ambitious successors added to the fortifications vertically, which made its dark shadow cover the home of the ascetic. Lo and behold, once it happened, the fort was doomed in no time. The supposed prophecy came true, and Bhangarh Fort became haunted.
The princess smelt something fishy and stopped the black magician’s whole plan by pouring the bewitched makeup over a huge stone boulder, which then purportedly killed the “Tantrik.” The magician put a jinx on the whole area before he died, saying that no one would ever be able to dwell there in peace. Since then, the whole area around the Bhangarh Fort has been haunted.
People who state that those who tried their luck either went missing or couldn’t explain anything clearly have some proof to back up their assertion. You may say that the whole occurrences were just figments of the imagination of people who thought about them too much, but the truth is the truth.
The fort is on the edge of a lush green area of the Sariska Tiger Reserve, which is between Alwar and Jaipur and not too far from Delhi either. The fort was definitely based on the mediaeval city of Shahjahanabad, which had four huge wooden gates on each side. The fort’s grounds contain a small waterfall and temples that are beautifully sculpted. These make the site feel peaceful for most of the day. The ruins of several of the fort’s palaces are evident signs of how well the fort was doing during its height. The fort would have been a popular tourist attraction because of its peaceful environment during the day and its stunning architecture. In fact, it still is. It is a tourist attraction, and during the day, it draws a lot of tourists, but for all the wrong reasons. People in the area say that no one would ever build a house with a roof near the fort. The roof falls down soon after it is built.
Before you go to this place, you should read some of the scary stories about Bhangarh fort. King Madho Singh, who was Emperor Akbar’s general Man Singh’s younger brother, built the Bhangarh fort in Rajasthan. After gaining the go-ahead from Guru Balu Nath, an ascetic who meditated here, it was built. According to popular belief, the ascetic made the monarch promise that the shadows of the fort would not touch where he meditated. But the monarch didn’t keep his word. Guru Balu Nath cursed the community to stay roofless as soon as the shadows touched his location. Even if a roof is put up today, it falls down soon after. Tantrik Singhia is in love with Princess Ratnavati, which is another narrative. He was so protective of this that he stated that if any house’s shadow fell on his house, the whole town would be destroyed.
This is another scary story that will keep you up at night, whether you believe in black magic or not. People in Bhangarh say that Princess Ratnavati was a highly lovely woman. A tantric priest who knew a lot about black magic fell in love with her because she was so beautiful. He tried to get Ratnavati to love him by putting a spell on the oil she was going to use.
Somehow, the Princess learnt about the bad plan and tossed the charmed oil bottle on a rock, which killed the tantrik.
The next year, the armies of Ajabgarh and Bhangarh attacked one other. Most of the residents in Bhangarh were killed during the fighting.
