There are many different types of wildlife tours available, ranging from guided tours led by experts to self-guided tours where you can explore on your own. Some popular destinations for wildlife tours include national parks, game reserves, and wildlife sanctuaries.

In 2010, India’s first and only Elephant Conservation and Care Center (ECCC) was established in Mathura District, Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Forestry Department. The center’s main purpose was to rehabilitate severely abused and exploited elephants.

The ECCC is now home to over 30 rescued elephants, a living breathing elephant conservation education platform, changing public perceptions and supporting elephant conservation.

All ECCC elephants were rescued from extreme pain. Some were privately owned and brutally used by beggars, while others spent their entire lives being bred or captive as temple elephants, or forced to perform in circuses. No longer forced to carry heavy loads or walk hot sidewalks, these majestic creatures will eventually live out their days happily with frequent baths, nutritious diets and proper veterinary care. The center is full of natural vegetation, making it the closest place to an elephant’s natural habitat, with enough fields for daily walks. Elephants were provided with water pools and were free to bathe and play in the water.

ECCC borders the Yamuna River and is surrounded by agricultural land. He walks for 10 minutes through the lush meadows and the elephant reaches the river. I love long relaxing baths in the river.

Rhino Safari Tour: This tour package takes you to Kaziranga National Park in Assam, where you can see the one-horned rhinoceros in its natural habitat. These tours often include jeep safaris, elephant rides, and accommodations in lodges or camps.

Agra Bear Rescue Facility: The Agra Bear Rescue Facility is a sloth rescue facility dedicated to the rehabilitation of previously enslaved “dancing bears.” Established in 1999 by Wildlife SOS in partnership with the Uttar Pradesh Forestry Department and others, the facility is located on an 8-hectare site in the Shur Sarovar Bird Sanctuary (also known as Keetham Lake), 17 km west of Agra, and consists of four facilities. is one of India, run by Wildlife SOS for this purpose, which helped eradicate the ‘dancing bear’ practice in India. It is currently home to over 170 sloth bears and other wildlife. The Agra Bear Rescue Facility also conducts advanced research, disease management, and provides specialized sloth bear veterinary and geriatric care. It is a facility that can be used by a small number of people.

When choosing a wildlife tour package in India, it’s important to do your research and choose a reputable tour operator. You should also consider the level of physical activity required and the accommodations provided. Finally, be sure to check the itinerary to make sure it includes the animals and activities you are most interested in seeing.
